Hannah Blaes-Johnson, LCSW-C, is a licensed clinical social worker and therapist at WCWCW in Bethesda, Maryland, providing care for children, adolescents, adults, and families across Montgomery County and the Greater Washington area, both in person and via telehealth. She works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, stress, and behavioral challenges, with a special focus on trauma, including domestic violence, abuse, neglect, and traumatic grief.
Hannah uses a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach to help clients understand emotions, develop healthier coping skills, and strengthen family relationships. She is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and has additional training in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International. She is currently working toward certification as a PMH-C.
Hannah's approach is grounded in the belief that individuals and families are the experts in their own lives. She focuses on strengthening parent–child relationships, restoring a sense of safety within families, and building skills that support emotional and behavioral well-being, often incorporating play-based approaches.
